Disclaimer

  • Firstly, this is done on my own time and no one is paying me to do this. This means that I may, because of deadlines that I am paid to keep, be late in archiving some of the websites and initiatives herein on a regular basis. That said, I will try my best to keep regular updates as often as necessary.
  • What you see is what you get. In the rare instance that a link does not work, it probably means that it doesn’t work on the original site as well. Else, there may have been something wrong in the transfer. As I said, it’s very rare this should occur but if it does there’s little or nothing I can do to fix it. Just be grateful that everything is not lost.
  • I am not necessarily in any way responsible for, endorse, am party to the creation of, partial to or condone anything in these archives unless explicitly stated.
  • All the content in these archives, in whatever language and format they are in, is the sole responsibility of the individual(s) or organisation(s) that created or produced it. No content has been added to the archives that was not present on the original website itself.
  • I am not a spokesperson for any of these organisations unless otherwise explicitly noted or mentioned. If you have a question about the content in any of the archives, try your best to get in touch with the representatives in Sri Lanka or elsewhere of the respective organisation.

  • The dubious honour of being featured on this blog is no excuse for not taking regular backups of your own or drawing up your own business continuity plans. It is vital you factor in regular backups and strategise ways in which you can continue operations if your website goes offline for whatever reason. And once you have well laid plans, check to see if they actually work by running some simulations!
  • The risk assessment of these sites is subjective and based on media reports, private communications and sometimes an informed guess that a site or web initiative is likely to be blocked, taken down or simply expire.
  • Not each site / initiative herein will be archived with the same frequency. Sites with more content published regularly will be archived more often that sites that are largely static.
  • No guarantee is given for the veracity of the information contained in the archives.
  • No guarantee is given for how long this blog will be online. Let’s hope that WordPress does not go bankrupt or the regime in Sri Lanka does not proclaim that the archives constitute a real and imminent threat to Sri Lanka’s “national security”.
